Product Description Features include: Adjustable speed from 0 RPM to full speed, 3 position rocker switch-Variable / Off / Full Speed, Full power and torque at all speeds. Go back and forth from any preset speed to full speed at the flip of a switch. Works with all routers 3-1/4 HP or less. 120V, 15AMP. Give your router a feature only available on routers costing hundreds of dollars. Easy to use-Simply plug in speed control and plug your router into the speed control- turn dial slowly for best results. (Speed control has a clip that can be worn on your belt, hung on wall, or left loose). Using a speed control decreases tear out, stops burning, lets you feed at comfortable rate, provides better, safer results with large diameter panel raising bits, decreases wear on bits, makes less noise, and allows softer starts at lower speeds. NOTE: Will not work with soft start or variable speed routers.

So many uses! September 28, 2009 S. Fazli 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was looking for a heavy duty (1200+ watt) dimmer to use for my outdoor patio electric infrared heater. This is a much cheaper option than those wall type ($150+) slide dimmers from other brands and works Great! Now I can control the output of the heat on those not so chilly days! There is also a 20 amp model for those with 2000 watt heaters. Btw, this is not rain/moisture proof so DO NOT leave it outdoors. I guess if I ever buy a router, i can also use it for that :)
Router speed control March 8, 2009 Graham M. Smith (Warrington, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This control worked as advertised. It is being used as a remote control for a router on a CNC machine.
control your router, using this in CNC set up May 8, 2009 wintermute (right behind you) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
good price, works as advertised. I am using this with a porter cable laminate trim router. previously I was using a $40 1000W lightswitch dimmer from home depot. This device was less money, so I returned the dimmer to HD, and got this. I like it.
Crock Pot control September 7, 2009 Mike 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
An alternate use is to control a newer Rival Crock Pot so it behaves like the older models!
Does what its supposed to do. February 1, 2010 Home owner/Real estate investor 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to hook to my angle grinder so that I could dial the speed down when dry polishing granite slabs and tile. It works perfectly for that. With this tool i can now use my $65 4" Makita Grinder to polish and buff my slabs without blowing hundreds on a variable speed angle grinder. The edges of my slabs and tile look great with the polishing set I also bought off of Amazon.
